The Computational Mechanics & Design Lab at Dongguk University is seeking highly motivated international graduate students for the Fall 2026 semester.
We focus on the intersection of advanced mechanics and artificial intelligence:
AI-assisted nonlinear model order reduction methods
Algorithm development for structural nonlinear analysis
Numerical homogenization for multiscale, nonlinear finite element analysis
AI-integrated engineering problem solving with advanced CAE tools
Robot simulators for flexible objects, soft robot arms, and end-effectors
Simulation tools for continuum robots
M.S./Ph.D. Combined Course
Ph.D. Course
(Please note: Applications for a standalone M.S. degree are not available currently.)
Education: Applicants must hold (or expect to obtain) a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Skills: A strong background in Solid Mechanics, Numerical Analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), or AI-algorithm is highly preferred.
Scholarship: Candidates must apply for and be eligible for the Dongguk University SRD Scholarship.
